We’ve arrived in Canada! Today was mostly a travel day and getting ourselves acquainted with the city. Ed takes adapting to new environments very seriously, so he even got all our gauges converted to kilometers and our temp controls set to Celsius. :)
Once we got our bearings straight, we made a stop at an adorable cupcake shop.
Ed noticed a status update on Facebook from one of the interns that worked at AutoPacific way back in ’98 – he and his family were in Vancouver, too. It had been about 12 years since they’d seen each other, so Kevin & Ed made plans for our families to have dinner together tonight! It was a great meal and Ruby made instant friends with their daughters. :)
We are still figuring out the plan for tomorrow, but there seems to be plenty to do here in Vancouver. Until tomorrow!
What an awesome timing! It must have been such a delightful surprise to meet your old friend and family in a foreign country. The check point looks exactly the same, not changed a bit from the time we visited when Ed was little!
